Rachel Zent, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a breast surgeon who specializes in surgical oncology and surgical diseases of the breast. She is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Zent received her medical doctorate from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 2000 where she was acknowledged as the Outstanding Student for Academics, Community Service, and Leadership. She then proceeded with her internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, CO in 2005 where she was a chief resident. Additionally, she completed a fellowship in surgical oncology of the breast at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas, TX, in 2006.

Dr. Zent is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Medical Association; Texas Medical Association; Dallas County Medical Society; Association of Women Surgeons; Society of Surgical Oncology; American Society for the Study of Breast Disease; and American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Dr. Zent has participated in extensive clinical and basic science research programs throughout her career, providing the opportunity to author several papers and present at the Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society for Breast Disease, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. She currently serves on the Breast Specialty Training Committee for the American Society for Breast Disease. She has held positions on committees for Health Texas Provider Network at Baylor University Medical Center since starting her practice there in 2006. Dr. Zent recognizes the importance of public awareness and education, and has given numerous public presentations on breast cancer and breast disease throughout the Dallas Fort Worth Metro Area.
