“Thank you for treating me with so much kindness when I came in for my appointment. You will never know how your kind words and smile eased my mind. Many doctors have yet to learn that a simple touch to the hand showing someone is there to help does wonders for any patient seeking answers. Thank you again.”
“Thank you for helping me understand my diagnosis of my breast cancer. You made a scary journey easier to travel. I also want to thank you for the wonderful and careful job you did with my surgery, not only making sure that you removed all the cancer but also that I could maintain my breast looking as natural and unchanged as possible. Other doctors who have examined me have been impressed with your work.”
“I just wanted to say how very much having Dr. Coombs-Skiles as my breast cancer surgeon meant to me. She listened to my concerns and fears and paid attention to them. Getting breast cancer at age 72 scared me more than I can say. Not only did she share my need to get the tumor out as quickly as possible, her surgical skills were superb. The tumor was taken out perfectly and her incision was placed so as it has healed it barely shows and with more healing time it may not show at all. The radiologist told me she was a great surgeon. I feel so blessed to have had her as my surgeon with her combination of excellent surgical skills, empathy for me, and determination to do the best in all areas of my cancer care. I’ll be forever grateful to her and the staff at Texas Oncology.”
